A fan-favorite item is returning to the McDonald’s menu this week

McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets are an absolute fan favorite thanks to their juicy interior and crispy exterior. And for a long time, the OG McNugget was the only one you could get from the chain (at least in the US).

That all changed with the introduction of the Spicy Chicken McNugget in 2020. And after a few brief visits back to the menus in 2021, 2022 and 2023, they’re back again for a limited time. It’s official—McDonald’s has confirmed that the nugget variety will be available at participating locations starting this week.

The Spicy Chicken McNuggets are returning to McDonald’s

Plain Chicken McNuggets are made with a ground chicken mixture coated in a light batter, then covered in a celery and white pepper breading and finally a thick tempura batter. Spicy Chicken McNuggets have the same white, ground chicken base and are described by the brand as “breaded in a crispy coating, flavorfully seasoned with a blend of aged cayenne and chili peppers.”

Starting November 4, you can get the spicy nuggets in a 6-piece, 10-piece, 20-piece or 40-piece order. However, like previous years, they will only be available in select markets, including Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Memphis and New York.

Fans online are excited about the product’s return, although many have expressed hope that the spicy nuggets are here for both a good and a long time.

Due to the limited release of nuggets, you will need to check in with your own location to see if it has them in stock. If your location doesn’t have the spicy nuggets on the menu, you can still satisfy your spicy chicken cravings at Wendy’s, Shake Shack, Popeyes or KFC.
