Minnesota Presidential Election 2024 Live Results

Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris will face off in Minnesota for the state’s 10 Electoral College votes. The liberal state voted for the Democratic candidate in the last two elections. Trump’s message to voters has focused on the economy, immigration and crime. Since taking over as the Democratic standard-bearer after President Joe Biden dropped out, Harris has argued that she would usher in a new era and has campaigned to improve the care economy, protect abortion rights and preserve democracy. In 2020, Biden won Minnesota with 52% of the vote to Trump’s 45%. In 2016, Hillary Clinton won Minnesota with 47% to Trump’s 45%. Minnesota has been a reliably liberal state for decades, but was seen as a place where Trump overperformed in recent elections. The choice of the state’s governor, Tim Walz, as the vice presidential candidate has made the state even less competitive this year.
