MYRTLE BEACH – Zachery Ty Bryan, former star of the hit TV show “Home Improvement,” has been arrested for domestic violence.

Zachery Ty Bryan, former star of the hit TV show “Home Improvement,” was arrested on a charge of domestic violence on January 1, 2025.




Bryan, 43, was charged with second-degree domestic violence and booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 14.02 on 2 January. His bond is set at $10,000, according to booking records.

The incident reportedly took place around 6:51 p.m. on Jan. 1, New Year’s Day, at a residence along Monarch Drive in Myrtle Beach, according to jail records.

Bryan also reportedly received a leave order on the same day as the alleged incident, according to public records.

Myrtle Beach Police and Myrtle Beach Magistrate Court have not released the police report on the incident or the magistrates’ records on the alleged eviction order.

Bryan played the character Brad Taylor on the hit TV show “Home Improvement” which ran from 1991 to 1999. He has also appeared in films such as “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift”, “Thor: Hammer of the Gods” and “Knight Rider,” according to his IMDb page.
