Billy Idol Guitarist Billy Morrison joins members of Cypress Hill and drives DMC in new videos –

Rock guitar legend Billy Morrison making waves with two electrifying releases featuring hip-hop’s most iconic voices. On December 13, 2024, Morrison dropped out “The Phenomenon”his hard-hitting singles and video collaborations with rap pioneers Cypress Hills.

“The Phenomenon” highlights Morrison’s longtime friendship and creative ties to Cypress Hill’s B-Real and Late Dog. Recorded in Cypress Hill’s studio, the track mixes Morrison’s distinctive guitar riffs with the rap legend’s unmistakable vocal power. The accompanying video takes it up a notch, featuring lasers, bouncy low riders, and the gritty West Coast energy that Cypress Hill is known for.

“When I got the call from Billy, I was excited about this collaboration! We have known each other for many years, shared many stages and we have built a friendship and chemistry over the years. So when the call came, I was in! It was killer to be able to work on this project and we love how the track and video turned out,” says B-REAL of Cypress Hill.

Billy also released the video for “Just Like a Movie”his explosive trail from The Morrison Project—a cool fusion of rock and hip-hop that celebrates the power of legendary artistry, featuring the legendary rapper DMC of Run DMC.

Morrison’s video for “Just Like a Movie” vividly captures the essence of his collaboration with DMCa hip-hop pioneer and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Filmed on the streets of Brooklyn, the video combines raw, cinematic visuals with a heartfelt tribute to hip-hop’s roots that perfectly reflects Morrison’s genre-bending vision. The track is included The Morrison Project album.

“The Phenomenon” and “Just Like a Movie” are available now on all major streaming platforms. Both tracks will appear on a special double A-side vinyl release due out in 2025. The British guitarist, singer and songwriter is primarily known as Billy Idols rhythm guitar player for the past 15 years together with lead guitarist Steve Stevens. His recent collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne and Steve Stevens, “Crack Cocaine”, rose to #1 on the Mediabase Active Rock Chart, further cementing his place as a powerhouse in the rock world. The Morrison Project is a testament to his collaborative spirit and fearless commitment to creating boundary-pushing music that unites artists and genres in bold, unexpected ways.
