More than 2,500 SDG&E customers lose power in North San Diego

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Over 2,500 San Diego Gas & Electric customers were reported to be without power in North San Diego Wednesday morning due to power outages.

The earliest outage was reported at 9:39 a.m. in the communities of Rancho Penasquitos, Rancho Bernardo and San Pasqual, according to SDG&E’s outage map. The estimated restoration time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m

From 15.20, the estimated outcome has dropped to almost 1,800 customers.

The cause of the outages is a car accident, officials at the power company said online.
