AMC Entertainment announces record pre-Thanksgiving weekend earnings

AMC Theaters achieved its highest domestic gross in the pre-Thanksgiving weekend AMC104-year history. It was also the highest-grossing pre-Thanksgiving weekend domestic opening since 2019, and the third-highest pre-Thanksgiving weekend domestic opening in AMC history. AMC’s success was driven by the opening weekends of both “Wicked” and “Gladiator II.” AMC Theaters and Odeon Cinemas welcomed 4.6 million moviegoers from Thursday to Sunday. “Wicked” collectibles effectively sold out midway through the weekend. This includes AMC’s two green and pink popcorn containers based on “Wicked’s” two main characters Elphaba and Glinda, and the 32-ounce Grippr Cup with two translucent toppers based on Elphaba and Glinda.
