Denver Weather: Live Updates: Blizzard moves through Colorado ahead of Thanksgiving

DENVER (KDVR) – The days around Thanksgiving are some of the busiest times to travel, and this year the incoming weather could cause more delays.

An exact weather alert has been issued due to potential travel impacts on Wednesday.

Denver International Airport is expecting even more Thanksgiving traffic than in 2023 with over 844,000 passengers expected to travel through security between Friday, November 22 and Monday, December 2. Meanwhile, AAA expects nearly 80 million Americans to travel 50 miles or more from home during the holiday season.

On top of the busy travel time, a snowstorm is moving across Colorado, with totals over a foot as of Tuesday morning, and more on the way.
