PlayStation Plus subscribers can expect the announcement of the first batch of free games for December at any time. But as new games come to the online service, more games also leave the library each month. Even if you have an active PS Plus subscription, you will no longer be able to access these games for free and you may need to purchase the games if you wish to play them.

So without further ado, here is the list of games leaving the PS Plus free games library in December.

Games will leave PS Plus in December

A total of 19 games are set to leave the PlayStation Plus library in December. Here’s the full list, categorized by their respective levels:

Important (departs December 2):

  • Death Note: Killer Within

Extra (departure 17 December):

  • Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
  • Judgment

  • Dead Island: Riptide
  • Lunar year
  • Dirt
  • Tinykin
  • Evil Genius 2: World Domination
  • Gigabash
  • Prodeus
  • Metal: Hellsinger
  • Soul vocation
  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York
  • Mega Man 11

Premium (departure 17 December):

  • Mega Man Legacy Collection
  • Mega Man Legacy Collection 2

Notable departures include fan favorites such as Judgmenta gripping detective game from the creators of Yakuzaand Metal: Hellsingera rhythm-based shooter beloved by heavy metal enthusiasts.

Upcoming game reveals and key dates

The PS Plus December 2024 Essential game lineup will be revealed on November 27 and will be available from December 3. Subscribers can look forward to the Extra and Premium announcements on December 11th, with these games scheduled to go live on December 17th.

What’s next for PlayStation fans

Beyond December, PlayStation fans have a lot to look forward to. Path of Exile 2 launching early next year, and several Xbox exclusives including Indiana Jonesis scheduled to come to PS5 in 2025. There is hope for that as well Stalker 2 will make its way to PlayStation once the Xbox exclusivity ends.
