Kansas’ Dickinson was ejected for kicking Duke’s Brown in the face

LAS VEGAS – Kansas star center Hunter Dickinson was ejected in the second half of the Jayhawks’ game against Duke on Tuesday after kicking Maliq Brown in the face while they were both on the ground.

With 10:26 left in the game, Dickinson missed a short hop hook over Brown. Both players fell to the ground in the battle for the rebound, with Dickinson fouling Brown. While they were both on the ground, Dickinson kicked Brown in the face.

After a lengthy monitor review, Dickinson was assessed as an obvious foul 2 and ejected.

Kansas led 57-55 at the time of the ejection.

Dickinson had 11 points, six rebounds and three assists before his ejection. He was prolific but struggled to finish on the edge against the length of Brown and Khaman Maluach.

Kansas’ backup center is freshman Flory Bidunga, who had played about eight minutes before Dickinson was ejected.
