See: Scotland under a blanket of snow from Storm Bert

Storm Bert has left central and southern Scotland under a blanket of snow.

Despite travel disruptions and freezing conditions, some children and dogs have been enjoying the cold weather.

The Met Office has issued weather warnings for Scotland, central and northern England for snow, rain and wind – with gusts of around 70 miles per hour expected in some coastal parts.

Roads may be affected by deep snow, especially over higher routes, and some rural areas may be cut off.
