Who is Jill Green? TV show From’s season finale Dedication Sparks (Wo)manhunt

Jill Green is an as yet unidentified personality whose death has sparked an online search for her appearance during the in-memoriam section of the season 3 finale of the TV show ‘From’.

Users were shocked by the series finale itself, which was shocking and mysterious – and then they were presented with another mystery by the show’s producers with their dedication.

“This season is dedicated in loving memory to Jill Green,” it read.

So far, social media experts have identified two possible answers to this question, and we provide them below.

Who was Jill Green?

According to online searches, Jill Green is the wife of an English author Anthony Horowitz. Green is a film producer who has worked on several, including some television adaptations of Horowitz’s works.

Jill ran Greenlit Productions for 12 years and worked on numerous productions including 29 feature films of Foyle’s War, the award winning Collision and the feature film The American starring George Clooney.

She founded Eleventh hour Films in 2010 and was its CEO for 14 years until July 24, when the company sold a majority stake to Sony Pictures Television. She now serves as Chairman and Strategic Advisor and the Lead Executive Producer on all Anthony Horowitz dramas.

Eleventh Hour Films’ portfolio includes New Blood, Vexed, Safe House and three seasons of the wildly popular spy series Alex Rider for Amazon/Freevee and Sony. She was also the EP on Magpie Murders, which launched in the US on Masterpiece in October 2022 to rave reviews and is now showing on BBC1 and iPlayer. She is currently Executive Producer on Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, an original thriller from Anthony Horowitz, which Eleventh Hour is producing for MGM+ and the BBC.

MGM+, with whom Jill Green collaborated for Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, is also the studio producing ‘From’. It establishes a connection between her and the From TV show, but there is no information available online indicating that she is dead, and the “loving memory” part of the dedication indicates that the person is dead. Nevertheless, Jill Green, the British producer, is the person most online forums and users think is Jill Green in the dedication.

Another Jill with an unconfirmed last name that social media users identified as a possible Jill Green is the late sister of the famous director, Jack Bender. Bender, known for his work on Lost, The Sopranos and Game of Thrones, is currently working on From. And in March, Bender announced to the world that he had lost his sister, whose last (possibly married) name was not available.

“My dear big sister Jill, whom I will miss every day. Love your brother, Jack,” Bender wrote with a photo of his sister.

As a director on the show, there’s no doubt that Jack could have had the show dedicate the season to her. Therefore, she is another contender for Jill Green, although her full name is unconfirmed.

Currently, these two people may be in that graphic at the end of From. So who do you think the producers were paying homage to?
