The Seahawks defense continues to dominate in the win over the Cardinals

The Seahawks have gone through a handful of changes defensively, at cornerback, safety and linebacker, but players say those changes have only made them better.

“It’s a great mindset,” Love said. “As things shift and change, some guys can get their feelings, some guys can isolate themselves, you see it all the time across the league, but this team got closer. Guys got demoted, promoted, whatever. We been changing a lot of things, but we are focused on our goals and our goals are just to win games, play good Seahawk football and make this community proud.

Sunday’s win showed that the defense continues to pile good games on top of good games.

“Just trust what we’re doing,” Woolen said. “We have one of the best secondary players in the league and we just trust each other really well. We knew coming into the game we had to be more physical and eliminate all the explosives and we feel that we did well today.”

On the other side of the ball, Geno Smith has seen the defense dominate and show they are “building something.”

“We’re talking about complementary football,” Smith said. “We’re talking about championship-level football. When you have a defense that plays the way they play, when they shut down offenses the way they are at a high rate week after week, it’s going to give you a chance to win every single one .We go out there and play clean and we manage the time of possession, do great on third down, finish in the red zone, give those guys a lead to play with, they get even better defense is excellent and I think they can keep going to get better, and I think they will.”
