Jaire Alexander, Edgerrin Cooper inactive for Packers-49ers game

GREEN BAY − Neither team is at full strength, but the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers will try to replicate the intensity of last year’s NFC divisional round playoff matchup Sunday at Lambeau Field.

The Packers will be without cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) and rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (hamstring), who were ruled out on Friday’s injury report. While not ideal, their absence is relatively light damage to their roster.

For the 49ers, quarterback Brock Purdy (throwing shoulder) and defensive end Nick Bosa (hip/oblique) are inactive. Both were ruled out Friday, meaning the Packers had a full day to prepare for the absence of two key starters. The 49ers will also be without starting cornerback Charvarius Ward, who was ruled out Friday due to a personal matter.

Left tackle Trent Williams, who was listed as questionable on Friday with an ankle injury, is also inactive for the 49ers.

Joining Alexander and Cooper on the Packers’ inactive list are a pair of rookies, safety Kitan Oladapo and offensive lineman Jacob Monk, both healthy scratches.
