With Georgia’s dominant 59-21 win over the Massachusetts Minutemen on Saturday, they clinched a spot in the 2024 SEC Championship game and secured their position atop the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

The title game will feature Georgia and the winner of next Saturday’s Texas vs. Texas A&M matchup.

In the blowout win against UMass, quarterback Carson Beck completed 20-of-31 passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns.

The Bulldogs are second in the Southeastern Conference and ranked No. 8 in AP Top 25 vote.

Before Saturday’s win, Georgia was ranked No. 11 in the College Football Playoff fittings rankings, while Texas sat at no. 2 and Texas A&M missed the cut.

Georgia already faced Texas this season in Week 8 and secured a 30-15 victory. The Bulldogs have not, and will not, face Texas A&M in the regular season.

Georgia will play Georgia Tech at home on Friday in their final regular season game.
