Texas at Texas A&M odds: Early point spread released, How to watch

A rivalry like few in college, both in the state and overall, will make its long-awaited return with the first matchup between Texas and Texas A&M as part of the SEC. It’s now an even bigger event than it should be, though, with the ramifications it will have for the SEC Championship and on the College Football Playoff.

Thus, Vegas has dropped the line for the match between the two ahead of next weekend, with the Longhorns as 7.5 point favorites (-118) on the road over the Aggies per FanDuel. A&M, as just over a touchdown underdog at Kyle Field, is at (+250) on the money line. The total is then set at 50.5 points with over slightly more favored than under.

Again, in addition to this being just their first meeting on the court since 2011, Texas vs. Texas A&M have a real impact on the conference championship as well as the playoffs.

The Longhorns and Aggies are tied atop the league standings entering this weekend. That, assuming they both win tomorrow, will make their game a play-in where only one of them can go to Atlanta. That then affects the playoffs, as the winner of the SEC Championship gets a bye in the expanded field. It is capable of changing even more in the scenario where Texas A&M wins, as it would move them up and drop Texas down into the discussion of all the other teams at 10-2 in the Southeastern Conference.

How to watch Texas vs. Texas A&M

Time: 7:30 PM ET on November 30th
Channel: ABC, ESPN+, Fubo TV (streaming)
Location: Kyle Field (College Station, Texas)

Texas is 9-1 overall with their only loss this season Georgia. Some questions are beginning to arise about how that loss fared with the rest of the strength of schedule. Still, they are no. 3 in the CFP rankings as of this week, which would give them the No. 2 seed in the bracket as the projected champion out of the SEC entering this weekend’s matchup against Kentucky.

Texas A&M is then 8-2 overall with their two losses coming to highly rated teams Notre Dame and South Carolina. With them at no. 15 to the CFP’s selection committee, of course the Aggies must win at Auburn tomorrow and then over the Longhorns next weekend to be back in playoff consideration eventually.
