Around midnight, video was sent to Eyewitness News of snow falling in Franklin, Sussex County, New Jersey, covering the roads and plows already in motion moving the snow.

Further north in Orange County, New York, snow fell gently in Goshen. The soil had a good coating there.

North of that, just below Interstate 84, the roads became so slick that a police cruiser flipped onto its roof at Route 208 and Horton Road in Blooming Grove, Orange County, New York.

No one was injured.

On the mountaintops it was a winter wonderland, a postcard beautiful landscape in Warwick.

The first significant snowfall of the season meant it was time to break out the snowblowers and shovels.

Shoveling the wet, heavy snow was no easy task.

Parts of Warwick were hit with more than 7 inches of snow and the wet snow caused problems including power outages.

Some schools in the Hudson Valley region and in New Jersey reported closings or delays Friday morning, you can check the list HERE.
