MINNEAPOLIS — A system spreading across Minnesota Wednesday will bring minimal accumulation to the Twin Cities, but higher snow has accumulated out west.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect for western Minnesota until 6 p.m. for another 2 inches of snow and gusty winds reducing visibility.

A wind advisory is in effect for southwest Minnesota until 8 p.m. 6:00 PM for gusts of 45 mph.

Highs will be in the mid-30s throughout the day with chills in the 20s. The metro will get gusty winds and light snow flurries that should slow down the evening commute, with a dust accumulation to half an inch possible. For the most part, the snow should pack up before 10 p.m
