Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson (concussion) ruled out entering second quarter vs. Texans

The Cowboys will have to finish their Monday night without a key piece of the offense.

Tight end Jake Ferguson was ruled out against the Houston Texans with a concussion as the first quarter of Monday’s game ended. Ferguson caught a pass for 11 yards before his day ended early.

Dallas is already without an offensive starter in Dak Prescott. With Ferguson ruled out, Luke Schoonmaker, Brevyn Spann-Ford and Princeton Fant could see more targets at tight end.

Ferguson wasn’t the only Cowboys player injured in the first half. Safety Markquese Bell also went down on kickoff coverage and suffered a shoulder injury in the second quarter. He was considered doubtful to return.
