Vijender Singh’s cheeky challenge to Floyd Mayweather to fight in India goes viral after Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul’s iconic fight

In a surprising twist, India’s boxing sensation Vijender Singh has come up with an interesting challenge for Floyd Mayweather.

Vijender, who won a bronze medal for India at the 2008 Olympics, made the comment sometime after Jake Paul defeated boxing legend Mike Tyson in the much-anticipated bout on Saturday morning.

Vijender took to social media with a playful tweet: “Let’s fight Floyd Mayweather in INDIA.”

Those fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington were left largely disappointed as Tyson showed his age and was never able to generate any offense against his younger opponent, landing just 18 punches to Paul’s 78.

Tyson, wearing a knee brace, never had much of a challenge after being rocked by some left hands in the third round, but did enough defensively to avoid taking any serious damage.

He admitted after the competition to having battled through a leg injury.

Vijender’s reaction led fans to believe the veteran boxer was inspired by the spectacle of Tyson’s return to the ring.

Known for his sharp boxing technique and unbeaten streak in his first 12 professional fights, Vijender turned pro in 2015 after a stellar youth career including the monumental Olympic bronze.

He then went on to claim the WBO Asia-Pacific Super Middleweight title and remains a key figure in Indian boxing.

Speaking of Mayweather, he is considered one of the greatest to have entered the boxing ring and has an incredible record of 50-0.

He recorded notable wins over the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Canelo Alvarez during his stellar career.

Tyson, on the other hand, admitted after the contest to battling through a leg injury.

“Yeah, but I can’t use that as an excuse. If I did, I wouldn’t be in here,” Tyson said.

“I knew he was a good fighter. He was prepared and I came to fight. I didn’t prove anything to anybody, only to myself. I’m not one of those guys who lives to please the world . I’m just glad I can.”
