Cameron Diaz is “Back In Action” after a decade-long hiatus from Hollywood.

The star of “Back in Action,” which streams Jan. 17 on Netflix, will see her film return after 10 years.

The film reunites Diaz with former co-star Jamie Foxx in her first film role since they starred together in the 2014 modernized version of “Annie,” in which she played Miss Hannigan.

Diaz and Foxx play a couple of former CIA agents who left their careers behind to get married with children in the film’s first teaser trailer published Thursday. But just like Diaz’s real life, the duo returns to their old jobs as intelligence agents.

During a performance at “Lipstick on the edge” podcast released in December 2023, Diaz addressed rumors that she and Foxx feud during the action comedy’s production.

“Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much,” Diaz said. “He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so funny. I really hate all the things that were said about our set that at that point you just want to scream at the top of your lungs like, ‘Guys! What are you talking about?”

In one interview with CBS host Dana Jacobsonreleased in July 2022, Diaz explained why she left the industry for eight years and now feels ready to step back into the spotlight.

“When you do something that you know, and you’ve done it well, and you know how it works, and it’s consumed your whole life for so long, it’s a nice thing to say, ‘You know what? Let me just step back for a second, look at what the whole picture looks like to me, and what are the things that I could do better and be more committed to that would make me feel more whole.’ And I did,” Diaz said.

She continued, “I miss aspects of acting or making movies. … Making movies is a special skill that’s fun to practice and be a part of.”

In 2022, Diaz spoke with “RuPaul’s Drag Race” judge Michelle Visage on the podcast “Rule breakers” and opened up about the mental health issues that came with her career and fame.

“Fame is very infantilizing. It’s very much about keeping someone pampered in a state of like, we see a little kid and think, ‘That’s so cute, I want it to always be cute, and if I keep it sweet by always treating it sweet, perhaps it will remain sweet forever.’ And that’s how people treat you.”
