Nebraska takes down the no. 16 in Minnesota in four sets of matches

Nebraska no. 2 Cornhuskers returned home after a four-game conference road trip, hosting the No. 16 Minnesota Thursday night. The Golden Gophers and the Huskers struggled on the night, but Nebraska won in four sets (25-12, 22-25, 25-22, 25-19) to improve to 25-1 on the season.

Both teams combined for 110 kills out of 335 attacks, 159 digs, 19 blocks and 69 total errors. The Huskers edged Minnesota in every category, finishing with 54 kills on 166 attacks, 82 digs, 12 blocks and 27 total errors.

Harper Murray led Nebraska in the win with his fifth double-double of the season. She earned 13 kills out of 40 attacks and a career-high 19 digs. Bergen Reilly also finished with a double-double, totaling 40 set assists and a team-high 20 digs. Reilly also earned six kills from 12 attacks.

Taylor Landfair hit double-digit kills on the night, going 12 out of 45. Andy Jackson finished a long double-digit kill streak, going 9-of-17 while notching a team-high six blocks. Lexi Rodriguez grabbed 16 digs in the win, bringing her career total to 1,747. Rodriguez is 143 digs behind the school record held by Justine Wong-Orantes.

The Huskers remain at home to face Indiana on Saturday night. First serve is set for 7:30pm on the Big Ten Network.
