The Pulse of Today, The Insight for Tomorrow

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – The outlook for a widespread, soaking rain that should average 0.50″ to 0.75″ across the NCWV appears to be on track! Fortunately. Rain this morning and well into the afternoon becoming more spotty near sunset and overnight. A patchy shower for Friday with the best chances in the mountains for these to last into the evening and overnight periods. Temperatures will stay in the 40s for most of this stretch for the lowlands. However, we could dip into the 30s at one point in the mountains (Friday night and Saturday morning) and some could turn to freezing drizzle. Clouds will break for some sunshine on Saturday, but temperatures will remain cool. Warmer Sunday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 60s (upper 40s to 50s in the mountains). A weak front brings a few showers on Monday, but we’d be lucky to get 0.10″ from them. Showers again later Tuesday with similar amounts. Both days will have highs in the 60s with more clouds than sunshine. Our next storm system may arrive Wednesday, but may linger into Thursday. This will eventually bring more rain showers. While my 7-day forecast ends there, there are signs that some very cold air may follow in its wake.
