Arizonans have long known that Krispy Kreme will give away a free donut when the red hot light comes on. But on Wednesday, November 13, the donut chain is giving away a dozen original glazed donuts for free.

The first 500 customers in each store will receive the free dozen, no purchase necessary, in honor of World Kindness Day

“World Kindness Day is a reminder that we can all make a positive impact in people’s lives, including through small gestures like sharing a sweet treat,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief brand officer, in a news release.

Krispy Kreme, which is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, also announced last Thursday that it will have four new donut flavors for Thanksgiving, including an apple crumble donut and a chocolate silk pie donut.
