Grammy 2025: Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Doechii Nominated for Best New Artist

Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Khruangbin and Raye are among the nominees for Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Shaboozey, Benson Boone and Teddy Swims are also competing for the award. Find the full list of 2025 Grammy nominations here.

First-time Grammy nominee Chappell Roan recently received the title of Best New Artist from another institution—the MTV Video Music Awards—by accepting his MoonPerson during the Sept. 11 ceremony. Benson Boone, Shaboozey and Teddy Swims were also among the nominees that night.

Roan is nominated in five additional fields at the upcoming Grammy Awards, placing in each of the four major categories. Her debut LP The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess is up for album of the year and best pop vocal album, while its mega-hit “Good Luck, Babe!” will compete for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Sabrina Carpenter has a similar hot streak, with Short n’ Sweet and chart-topper “Espresso” lands in the same five respective categories as Roan’s work.

Rising Top Dawg Entertainment rapper Doechii has earned a handful of additional nominations, including Best Rap Album, for Alligator bites never healand Best Rap Performance for “Nissan Altima.” Kaytranada was also nominated for Best Remixed Recording for his take on Doechii’s JT collaboration, “Alter Ego.”
