Driver charged after hitting two pedestrians in Greenville crosswalk

GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) – A Beaufort County woman has been charged after police say she hit two women in a crosswalk in Greenville.

Police say 68-year-old Gracie Mcroy of Chocowinity was cited this afternoon for failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to reduce speed.

The two women, ages 19 and 20, were hit by an SUV on 10th Street near ECU’s campus on Monday night.

Police say one of the victims was hospitalized with serious injuries but is expected to survive.
