No matter which team wins or loses on Thursday Night Football, Al Michaels will always be maligned. The Cincinnati Bengals visited M&T Bank Stadium to bat Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens. Coincidentally, the Ravens TE suffered a serious left ankle injury in the Week 11 game against the Cincinnati Bengals last season. It was a tackle, but what Al Michaels said was way off the mark. The damage done Mark Andrews miss a few games. But he eventually returned to play against the Chiefs in the AFC title game.

The initial prognosis for Andrews’ injury was that it was due to a hip drop tackle. It happened when he was tackled by LB Logan Wilson, the Bengals LB. Andrews had to undergo surgery to repair his broken fibula and ligament damage. The tackle came as Andrews headed for the first try with just 11 minutes left on the clock. Even though the TE was injured, the Ravens still won that game 34-20.

After the tackle, Andrews stood up in pain. Spectators watched him walk carefully off the field. While people thought Andrews would not return for the season, he returned to the field well ahead of schedule. He played in the AFC Divisional playoff game against Kansas City Chiefs. The Ravens lost that game 17-10.
