Ravens Release Former Pro Bowler Yannick Ngakoue Ahead Of Matchup vs Bengals

CINCINNATI — The Ravens are releasing veteran defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Will the Bengals sign the former Pro Bowler?

Baltimore hopes to re-sign Ngakoue to the practice squad.

That means the Bengals won’t have to deal Ngakoue Thursday night against the Ravens. It also gives them an opportunity to sign the veteran pass rusher if they think he can help their pass rush.

Ngakoue has 1.5 sacks and five tackles in five games for Baltimore this season.

The Ravens release him to make room on the roster for second-year running back Keaton Mitchell.
