Alaska Presidential Election 2024 Live Results

Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris will meet in Alaska over the state’s three Electoral College votes. Trump’s message to voters has focused on the economy, immigration and crime. Since taking over as the Democratic standard-bearer after President Joe Biden dropped out, Harris has argued that she would usher in a new era and has campaigned to improve the care economy, protect abortion rights and preserve democracy. The conservative state voted to support Trump in the last two elections. In 2020, Trump won Alaska with 53% of the vote to Joe Biden’s 43%. In 2016, Trump won Alaska with 53% to Hillary Clinton’s 38%. Since Alaska began participating in federal elections in 1960, after being admitted as a state the previous year, it has voted for a Democratic presidential candidate only once – Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964.
