Was your ballot in 2024 received? Ohio voters can check here

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Did you vote early and want to see if your vote has been processed?

The Ohio Secretary of State’s website offers a way to track your absentee ballot. If you have voted by letter or in person before election day, you can check the status of your ballot.

When will we know the results of the presidential election?

Voters can visit VoteOhio.gov and click on “Track your absentee ballot” option. This will pull up a list or map of counties to direct you to your specific county board of elections website. Then enter your name to see the status.

Each BOE site shares the type of vote – per post or in person – as well as the day it was processed and received.

The ballots themselves will not be counted and included in the results until the polls close at 19:30 on election day, 5 November. Shortly after polls close, counties begin counting and sharing early voting totals and then Election Day results, which WDTN will track on our website.

While final results for the presidential race may not be available on election night, some changes since the last time could mean the race will be called sooner than in 2020, when it took nearly five days for major news outlets to issue projections. That includes fewer expected ballots and new policies in some states to begin processing ballots before Election Day, according to Bakken.

If you did not vote absentee, polls will be open from 6:30am to 7:30pm on November 5th. Click here to find your polling station.
