Patrick Mahomes got in sync with rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy on Kansas City Chiefs‘ first drive of their Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.

After a quick three-and-out for the Steelers, Mahomes marched Kansas City’s offense down the field and eventually found himself in the red zone.

On second and four inside Pittsburgh’s ten-yard line, Worthy lined up as a running back and caught a simple swing pass from Mahomes that resulted in an easy touchdown for the first-year wideout.

Take a look at this video of Worthy’s score, which was posted on Twitter by the Chiefs’ official account:

Although there is plenty of time left in Wednesday’s game, Worthy’s nifty first-quarter touchdown gave Kansas City an early lead that could prove crucial in the Chiefs’ bid to clinch the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed with a win over Pittsburgh.

Tune in to see if Worthy can continue to assert himself against the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium this afternoon.
