The infamous Grinch arrested in Aurora after trying to steal wood

AURORA, Ill. – The Aurora Police Department has apprehended a holiday villain – none other than the infamous Grinch.

The incident unfolded when several calls were made to the police reporting a suspicious person trying to steal the town’s Christmas tree. Officers responded quickly and upon arrival say the Grinch attempted to flee the scene.

However, police say the Grinch’s speed was no match for their officers, who quickly caught up with him. When confronted, the Grinch allegedly claimed he was “just borrowing” the tree.

The Grinch is now in custody and the town’s Christmas spirit remains safe and intact.
