According to tradition, Michael Che and Colin Jost marked Saturday Night Livefinal episode of 2024 with their signature “joke swap”. This year’s episode was particularly epic as Che not only had Jost read “Black Voice” jokes, but Jost’s wife, Scarlett Johansson, was also in attendance. When Jost was forced to tell jokes at his wife’s expense, SNL cameras cut to Johansson watching backstage. However, Che did not escape unscathed; he was forced to vouch for Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Johansson was one of several celebrity guests who appeared SNLs Christmas episode to celebrate host Martin Short joining the Five-Timers Club. The episode also featured appearances from Tom Hanks, Paul Rudd, Melissa McCarthy, Tina Fey, John Mulaney, Alec Baldwin, Emma Stone, Kristen Wiig, Jimmy Fallon and Dana Carvey.
