Indianapolis Colts injury report: WR Downs returns to full practice

The Indianapolis Colts today released their Thursday injury report for Week 15 of the NFL season ahead of their Sunday game against Denver Broncos.

Wide receiver Ashton Dulin (knee) and right tackle Braden Smith (personal matter) both missed practice again today. Dulin has been dealing with a knee injury for a few weeks now and looks set to miss his second game with the injury. Smith is missing practice time due to an undisclosed personal matter and also looks set to miss another game for the same reason. With Dulin unlikely to play Sunday, expect a practice squad for LaQuon Treadwell again this week. With Smith likely out again this week, expect rookie Matt Goncalves to line up at right tackle for another week in his place.

Center Ryan Kelly was limited to practice again today with a knee injury. Kelly was designated to return to practice yesterday after being on injured reserve for the past four weeks. Back-to-back limited practices leave his availability up in the air, but with strong showings from rookie Tanor Bortolini and veteran Danny Pinter in Kelly’s absence.

Wide receiver Josh Downs was a full participant today at practice after being limited yesterday with a shoulder injury. Downs being a full participant today is a big step in his rehabilitation and bodes extremely well for his chances of playing on Sunday. He will be one to watch tomorrow.

Center Tanor Bortolini was a full participant again today as he works his way back from a concussion he suffered prior to the bye week. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (back) also logged another full practice today.

Linebacker Jaylon Carlies (fibula and shoulder) was a full participant again today after being designated to return from injured reserve. Carlies looks set to return to action on Sunday.
