Country star Lainey Wilson returned to “Yellowstone” in epic fashion with a big TV love reunion with Ian Bohen on Sunday’s Season 5 finale.

Wilson, 32, made her TV acting debut portraying free-spirited musician Abby, who falls hard for bunkhouse cowboy Ryan (Ian Bohen), starting with 2023’s season 5 premiere.

The couple got hot and heavy before Ryan had to do his cowboy work in Texas and Abby had to do her musician work on the road. Wilson called the part written for her by “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan “a dream come true.”

Fans have been clamoring for Abby’s return since the two TV lovers split.

Well, hold on dear. True patriotism prevails. The cowboy couple reunited with Wilson’s return to create one of the happiest moments in Sunday’s drama — which will reportedly mark the end of “Yellowstone.”

How did Lainey Wilson return to ‘Yellowstone’?

After leaving Abby to take care of Dutton cattle in Texas, Ryan decides he doesn’t want to continue the ranch, especially since Yellowstone Ranch is closing. He ends up buying a standing room ticket to one of Abby’s concerts. It’s the only seat left, says the ticket master in the booth. Abby has clearly done almost as well as Wilson, who won five trophies at the 2023 Country Music Association Awards, the first woman to take home the top prize in over a decade.

Ryan walks into the concert to see Abby rock Wilson’s hit, “Hang Tight Honey,” a song about a touring artist longing to be home with a loved one. Everyone is standing in the honky tonk venue, so the “sold out seat” thing can be hype. But we argue. Because it’s a rocking show, and Ryan was like, “Why did I ever leave her for cows in Texas?”

Moments after Abby sings, “I’m coming straight home to you,” she turns to Ryan, who admits, “I made a mistake. I chose the wrong one.”

Working with Dutton cattle in Texas was not his Super Bowl.

“You’re my Super Bowl,” Ryan tells Abby. She kisses him deeply while holding a Coors in her free hand and invites him to join “life on the bus”.

“I’ll take it,” he says as they walk out hand in hand. And just like that, eternal love.

The concert scenes were recorded earlier this year during a Ft. Worth, Texas show.
