Sam Howell is 24 years old. He was selected by the Washington Commanders in the 2022 fifth-round draft pick, played two seasons there before being traded to the Seahawks in the offseason.

He played in one game as a rookie in 2022 for Washington. Howell was then the Commanders’ starter in the 2023 season, completing 63.4% of his passes for 4,115 yards, 21 touchdowns and 21 interceptions in 17 games.

Howell was sacked 65 times.

The Commanders moved on from Howell when they selected Jayden Daniels with the second pick in the first round.
