It all went down on November 27, 2024, when Kai invited Max onto his stream to perform during the high-energy subathon.

But things quickly spiraled when Max’s daring trick not only seemed life-threatening, but also sparked fears that Twitch would crack down on Kai’s account.

Viewers were shocked and social media was ablaze with criticism, accusing Kai of knowing about the stunt and allowing it to happen anyway.

Despite the drama, Max remained silent for weeks. Finally, on December 11th, he broke his silence with a bold statement, claiming that Kai’s team and Twitch were fully aware of what was going on.

“I didn’t lie to Kai’s team about the stunt I was going to do at Mafiathon 2 and this wasn’t an attempt to get him banned,” Max said. “The stunt was coordinated with his team and managed with Twitch.”

Max emphasized that the performance was not a direct decision. “To be crystal clear, it wasn’t something I decided to do at the last minute – it took weeks of careful planning and training.”

“Twitch was aware of the stunt, and after running it by the higher ups, he simply asked that we put ‘professional stunt, don’t try’ on the screen.”
