Steph Curry made his feelings clear about Michael Jordan’s comments about him entering the NBA Hall of Fame – NBA

NBA star Steph Curry has made his feelings clear about Michael Jordan’s comments about whether he should be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Curry, 36, has been with the Golden State Warriors since 2009 and is widely regarded as one of the best shooters to ever play in the NBA.

He is a four-time NBA champion and has twice been named the league’s most valuable player.

Back in 2019, Jordan, 61, spoke his mind about whether he thought Curry’s career warranted a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Of course, Jordan himself was named to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame back in 2009 along with legends John Stockton, David Robinson and Jerry Sloan.

The Brooklyn-born icon has six NBA championships from his time with the Bulls – two more than Curry’s current tally.

The Ohio native still has the opportunity to catch up with Jordan, but has not won the NBA title since the 2022 season.

He will no doubt be motivated by Jordan’s comments from 2019.

“He (Steph Curry) is still a great player,” Jordan told NBC’s Craig Melvin (via Complex).

“Not a Hall of Famer yet.”

Of course, fans eagerly awaited Curry’s response, which he gave to Matt Welty during an interview with Sole Collector.

“I think I’m good, but then I’m never complacent,” Curry explained.

“I know I have more to prove to myself. When you hear a guy like that who is the greatest ever, it’s kind of funny.

“Since we’ve been on this stage, we’ve heard a lot of retired guys come up on this generation of basketball players and evaluate talent and say their generation was better and all that.”

“It’s a great conversation for the fans to get into,” Curry added.

“I know I’m in good shape for it, but I still have a lot to prove to myself.”

Of course, since Jordan’s comments over five years ago, Curry has garnered numerous accolades. He won the NBA for the fourth time in 2022 and was part of the USA gold medal team at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
