Kenny Pickett’s touchdown throw gives the Eagles a 14-7 lead

Kenny Pickett threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith to give the Eagles a 14-7 lead over the Cowboys with 6:38 left in the half.

Smith hurt his right hand earlier in the game on an illegal contact penalty by Marist Liufau that was not called. Smith got it recorded, but that didn’t stop him.

He has two catches for 27 yards and a touchdown now.

The touchdown came on a third-and-12 play and the Cowboys brought a blitz that the Eagles offensive line handled.

Earlier in the 10-play, 81-yard drive, the Eagles faced a third-and-8 and Picket threw a 50-50 ball to tight end Grant Calcaterra, who was well covered by Israel Mukuamu. Calcaterra used one hand to bring the ball in for a 34-yard gain to the Dallas 20.

Pickett is 7-of-9 for 77 yards and a touchdown.

The Eagles’ first touchdown came on a CJ Gardner-Johnson pick-six.
