Jalen Tolbert talks about a gruesome finger injury and he’s willing to play through it vs. Eagles

“And then I got up and it and (the athletic training staff) put it back in and stitched it up because it came through the skin.”

Tolbert’s finger was so hyperstretched and dislocated that it broke the skin and required stitches.

But after scoring his two touchdowns in as many games and witnessing how much pain Lamb endures to “willingly sacrifice his body for his guys,” Tolbert isn’t turning down a chance to help play the Grinch against the Philadelphia Eagles – in much the same way he did against the Buccaneers.

“I got back out and it was more of an emergency at that point,” Tolbert said. “… But it feels better every day. The staff will help me and take care of me. I’m ready to play anytime.”

Time will tell if he is cleared to play in Week 17, but he has several days or treatment and rest to help his case.

Tolbert, like Lamb, refuses to go gently into the good night.
