Michigan State prepares for the Great Lakes Invitational at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. The Spartans will lead their no. 1 overall ranking into the tournament.

Michigan State will face Northern Michigan on Monday in the semifinals of the tournament. On Tuesday, they play either Michigan Tech or Western Michigan.

The Spartans will be without starting goalie Trey Augustine, who is in Canada with Team USA at the World Juniors, meaning MSU will lean on Luca Di Pasquo in net.
