Is GTA 6 Trailer 2 Released Today? Here’s why fans are convinced it’s happening

In case you missed it, Grand Theft Auto fans believe the second GTA 6 trailer could arrive today (December 27) after a series of coincidences that seem almost too good to be true – here’s what you need to know

GTA 6’s next trailer is keeping fans as captivated as the wait for the game itself, and it’s already been longer than the wait for new assets or announcements from previous Rockstar Games projects.

Fans reverted to the GTA Online “moon theory” which suggested we were still waiting, but others are digging deeper into the first trailer after the CEO of Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two described the studio’s next game as ‘extraordinary’.

Fans of number-based randomness, buckle up – the GTA fanbase has put two and two together and come up with… 27. Let us explain.

GTA 6 fans think today is the day

GTA 6 Alert, an account on X (formerly Twitter) has found four ties to GTA 6 with the number 27. The first is that Rockstar Games was founded on this day in 1998, and what better way to celebrate than by revealing a trailer to show how far the company has come?

Secondly Rockstar Games’ Instagram page has 27 posts, while Trailer 1 has a shot 27 seconds into a car with the number 27 displayed in the window.

As for me, I’m less convinced. With much of the world out of work between Christmas and New Years, it seems odd that Rockstar would drop a new trailer (or any new information) when websites are essentially shut down for the holidays. Still, if anyone is big enough to do it and break the internet, it’s Rockstar Games and GTA 6.

Even that account might be clinging to straws, jokingly pointing to 227 million trailer views on the first reveal.

A new trademark in Brazil last week left fans expecting a new trailer, while a longtime Rockstar collaborator admitted he’s working on something with the company in 2025 while giving a literal knowing wink to the camera.

While fans are now reaching fever pitch with anticipation, others want to know why Rockstar won’t throw them a bone with a screenshot or two.

A former developer recently explained that the Rockstar team would “geek” and watch fan theories unfold, but we’ll find out today if the trailer is actually coming this week.
