Severe weather threat Saturday to Sunday

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Tonight: It has been a rainy and gloomy day for the pan handle. Tonight’s low temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s. Tonight is a night to be aware of the weather as another group of strong to severe storms will move into the panhandle… a small chance for severe weather forecast… this is a level 2-5.

You can get alerts in several ways as the timing of this event will be between 02.00 and 10.00.

Sunday: We start the morning on a stormy note, but the rain should start to clear around 10am. 10… Sunshine will begin to peek out again in the afternoon hours with high temperatures remaining warm and above average, in the low to mid 70s range wide.

Short/long term: Monday will start with areas of scattered fog, but will clear as the sun comes out and warms the ground enough to evaporate the low-lying clouds. Sunny conditions will stick around for the rest of the work week.

Temperatures are expected to cool as we begin the new year near 60 degrees as another cold front passes, this one dry.
