‘Captain’s nightmare’: Alyssa Healy reacts to Virat Kohli proposing to Rohit Sharma

Virat Kohli was charged during Australia’s second innings in the fourth Test against Australia at the MCG. He made field placements and ran to Rohit Sharma, who was standing in the slip fence, to give suggestions.

Kohli did it after a couple of deliveries, surprising the commentators. Alyssa Healy, wife of Australian speedster Mitchell Starc, reacted to Kohli’s behaviour.

“It would be the captain’s nightmare if the other 10 players keep throwing ideas at him. Virat is animated and literally goes to Rohit Sharma after every delivery to give him suggestions. Rohit will say he’s got it covered .Never to take anything away from Virat who seems to be engaged in what is happening on the ground,” she said.

Kohli has been out of contention in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, leaving the team in trouble. He scored a hundred in the first Test, but the remaining outings have been ordinary. Meanwhile, India were bowled out for 369 runs in their first innings with Nitish Kumar Reddy scoring 114.

India and Australia have won one Test each in the five Test series so far. India have won the previous two Test assignments in Australia in 2018-19 and 2020-21.
