Missing man found safe; another man missing

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WAFB) – Deputies said a missing man has been found safe, while another man is still missing in Tangipahoa Parish.

Deputies said Robert Miano, 78, was in good health. But authorities are still asking for the public’s help in locating Andrew Monistere, 34.

Deputies said Monistere has not been seen since Wednesday, Dec. 4. That’s when he left his mother’s home on N. Billville Road in the Hammond area.

Monistere was last seen wearing a dark plaid shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. Deputies said he is described as having short, dark brown hair along with tattoos on his wrists of a cross and bull skull.

According to TPSO, Monistere has multiple diagnosed mental illnesses and has shown a recent decline in his condition.

According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, Miano was last seen by family members on Monday, December 23rd. That’s when he left a relative’s home off Brandon Drive and Drude Road in the Ponchatoula area.

He was eventually found several days later.
