The serious threat has come to an end, much nicer Sunday

Fortunately, the serious threat has finally come to an end for the entire viewing area. The rest of the weekend offers plenty of sunshine and pleasant temperatures.

Tonight and tomorrow: A cold front is moving through the area and the rest of the night will be much quieter. Low temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 50s with noticeably less humidity. Sunday will bring calmer weather as that front has pushed through the region, but it won’t bring a major temperature change. High temperatures will still climb back into the low 70s.

Next: Above average will be a theme for the rest of 2024. Monday and Tuesday will have highs in the low to mid 70s with lows in the 50s, and it won’t feel as sticky out there. Clouds will blend into the sky at times, but no more precipitation is in the forecast. A stronger cold front will blow through New Year’s Eve with cooler air to follow and begin 2025. Highs will go back into the 60s.
