Severe thunderstorms sweep through North Texas Saturday morning, NWS issues advisory

Severe thunderstorms and showers are expected to move through the Dallas-Fort Worth area Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for all of North Texas, which will remain in place until 6 p.m. 12.00

“Hail up to 2 inches in diameter is the primary threat,” said an advisor from NWS-Fort Worth.

After the storms pass this morning, the area will be cloudy, “then gradually becoming mostly sunny” through the afternoon, according to the NWS.
