Construction is focused on the Hotel du Canada area, a part of the pavilion that has been inaccessible to guests for years. A previously filed permit listed the project as “Install Set Elements” and was assigned to Icarus Exhibits. This vendor has extensive experience with Disney having contributed to TRON Lightcycle Run, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land.

Although the permit’s description remains deliberately vague, the involvement of Walt Disney Imagineering indicates that an addition to the guests is likely. Combined with the kiosk-style window visible in the construction photos, it looks like the pavilion may be expanding its offerings.

Current theories suggest the possibility of a bar or lounge, while others wonder if it could tie in with a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) initiative.
