A quick morning update before the morning video Briefing: Alabama Weather Blog

Radar at 5:54 AM shows that much of the state is dry as we wake up this morning, except for some rain showers across the southeastern parts of the state and across the Alabama Gulf Coast. No big deal for now, but it will be a different story as we move into the afternoon hours.

While no severe weather is expected in Alabama this morning, there is a significant severe weather threat looming this afternoon through overnight for the entire state, including a moderate risk of severe storms across parts of extreme west and southwest Alabama .

I am currently working on the video briefing for this morning and it may come out a little later than usual as I am working hard to get as much information as possible to disseminate to you, the public. Stay tuned!
