Keanu Reeves is not watching a fifth installment John Wick on the cards.

The actor, 60, was promoting his voice role as the villain Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 amid a recent appearance on CBS Morningwhere he also answered some burning questions about a possible John Wick 5 in the making.

“You can never say never, but my knees right now are saying, ‘You can’t do another one.’ John Wick,” said Reeves, who makes a cameo in the upcoming spinoff film From the world of John Wick: Ballerina his with his popular assassin character.

He added, “So my heart (will), but I don’t know if my knees can do it,” to which Sonic the Hedgehog 3 director Jeff Fowler had a fun comeback.

“That’s why you can voice Shadow for decades to come – there are no physical limitations, only your voice!” joked Fowler. Reeves then said, “I’m free!”

It is pertinent to mention that Reeves is seen as irreplaceable in John Wickespecially by co-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, who believe that the thriller series owes its success to the Canadian actor.

“Could you have done it John Wick without Keanu?” Stahelski, 56, raised the question in an interview with People Magazine before he quickly answers it himself. “No, not as you see it,” he said.

“The stoicism that John Wick shows is really a big part of who Keanu is,” he continued. “You have to see Keanu on set. I know everyone hears the stories, but he’s always there early. He’s always the first one there (and) the last one to leave.”

“There’s really no other person who could play John Wick,” added Leitch, 49. “He obviously brings the passion, the physicality, and there’s just this undeniable emotional quality to him where you feel for him and he pulls at your heartstrings.”

From the world of John Wick: Ballerina hits theaters June 6.
