Squirrel White fifth Vols WR in transfer portal

Tennessee football wide receiver Squirrel White plans to enter the transfer window, according to multiple reports.

White has been one of UT’s most productive receivers of Josh Heupel’s tenure. He had 131 receptions for 1,665 yards and six TDs over three seasons.

The 5-foot-10, 167-pound slot receiver led the Vols with 803 yards receiving in 2023. But his production dipped to 34 catches for 381 yards and two TDs in 2024.

He has one season of eligibility remaining.

White is the 17th UT player to enter the portal in December, including 13 scholarship players. He is also the fifth receiver to leave the Vols, following Kaleb Webb, Chas Nimrod, Nathan Leacock and Nate Spillman.

The portal is open through Saturday for new players entering it, but teams can add players from the portal after that date.
